History, ownership and environmental care

The history of Plexx began in 1954. Plast Armatur, which was the name of the company from the start, was privately owned until 1984 when it was made into a limited company. The present owners, became majority owners in 1987. Heidenreich Holding AS, the family-owned group now owns 100 % of Plexx stocks. Plexx in its turn owns the Swedish daughter companies Opido Production AB and Opido Plas AB. The combined turnover of the three companies exceed EUR 11
million, making the Plexx Group one of the largest Scandinavian actors in its field of business.

The family-owned Heidenreich Group was established in 1904, and is known as a long-term and industrial actor. In 2008, Heidenreich Holding employed more than 1000 persons, boasting a EUR 280 million turnover.

As part of our commitment to delivering according to our customers’ expectations, all companies in the Plexx Group are ISO 9001-certified.The raw materials utilised in our products are recyclable and we maintain a strong environmental focus. Our goal is to have the whole certified according to environmental ISO 14001 standard within 2012.
